Lauren Schober paced four Bison in double figures with 17 points and Kesha Champion added 15 points and a career-high 11 assists as the Bucknell women’s basketball team opened Patriot League play with a 71-45 victory over Navy Saturday night at Alumni Hall. It was the third consecutive year the Bison began their conference schedule with a win of at least 20 points against the Mids.
Bucknell, which is now 12-6 all-time in Patriot League openers, including 7-2 against Navy, shot an impressive 55.6 percent in the first half and 44.8 percent overall.

Swimming pool basketball is a fun game that many like to play in the pool. Kids and adults alike will all want to play this in the pool, and there are so many different versions of the game that you can buy. These games are available anywhere that swimming pool products and toys are sold, from your local retail store to your favorite pool shop, and even online. You will find that this game is a great investment, and will be glad that you bought one once you see how much fun everyone will have with it.
You will find that there is a version of swimming pool basketball that floats in the pool. This version of the game has a basketball goal that will float in the water as everyone tries to make the ball into the goal. Of course the ball is not a real basketball, but one that will fit through the hoop, and that can get wet and will not hold water. The hoop that is floating around the pool makes it even harder to make the goal when you are playing this game, and everyone that plays will love the challenge.

Kristina Collmore (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) connected on a jumper from the left wing with 30 seconds remaining to give the Bucknell women’s basketball team a 58-56 lead and the Bison held on for a 59-56 victory over visiting Loyola (Md.) Monday afternoon at Sojka Pavilion. The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Bucknell, which improved to 5-8 on the season. The Greyhounds, who have now lost two in a row following a five-game winning streak, fell to 7-5.
After a tight first half that featured four ties and four lead changes, Bucknell led throughout the second half until Loyola tied the game at 56 on a three-point play by Tynisha Davis with 59 seconds remaining. On the ensuing possession Collymore hit what turned out to be the game-winning jumper. Wide open, she drained the long jumper, her first points since 10:48 was left in the first half.

No. 15 Duke placed all five starters in double figures and forced 32 Bucknell turnovers as the Bison fell to the Blue Devils by a 92-49 score Saturday night at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Bucknell was led by a career-high 21 points from Kesha Champion (Chesapeake, Va./Indian River), while Taylor Phillips (South Parkersburg, W. Va./Parkersburg South) added 11 off the bench.
Duke was led by 19 points apiece from Joy Cheek and Chante Black, while Abby Waner added 16, including three long 3-pointers.

John Griffin tallied a career-high 27 points and Bucknell turned the tables on the nation’s No. 1 3-point shooting team in an 88-75 victory over preseason Ivy League favorite Cornell on Wednesday night. Justin Castleberry celebrated his 21st birthday by equaling his career high with 18 points, and Josh Linthicum had a personal-best 12 points for the Bison, who set a Sojka Pavilion scoring record with their highest point total in the last 85 games.
Cornell, which was coming off an 18-day layoff, fell to 4-3 on the season, while the Bison improved to 4-5. USC transfer Collin Robinson scored 21 points for the Big Red, while St. Bonaventure transfer Jeff Foote, playing his first game in a Cornell uniform, had 10 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots.

Arizona basketball coach Lute Olson is getting divorced.
He filed a divorce petition in Pima County Superior Court on Thursday, the same day the 73-year-old coach said he would extend his leave from the team through the end of the season, Olson’s lawyer, Leonard Karp, said Friday.
“The marriage has been irretrievably broken with no reasonable prospect of reconciliation,” Karp said.
