While Georgia Tech and Georgia have traditionally ended their seasons with their rivalry game, both schools confirmed talks to start their seasons in the 2011 Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Classic in the Georgia Dome.

Officials from both schools aforesaid Wednesday they are discussing the possibility of playing their state rival in a neutral-site game in Atlanta to kick off the 2011 season. Continue reading »

Rip Van TE has awoken from his long slumber, ready to snap off delusion-filled, self-aggrandizing, snarky comments to friend & foe alike.

Tired Maria Sharapova bows out of China Open in round three
On Tuesday Maria Sharapova had played a three-hour couple in contact with ninth seed Victoria Azarenka and recovered from a 5-2 down in the third part set to win the companion. That marathon took its toll, and to the delight of the home crowd China's Peng Shuai followed up her upset of defending defender Jelena Jankovic in the second round with a 6-2 6-4 victory over Maria Sharapova in the third.

World No.53 Peng got to lead 6-2 5-2 against Sharapova, and although the Russian almost pulled off one of her trademark comebacks, closing to 6-2 5-4 and getting to deuce, there was no more firing material in her tank and she fell put on Peng's third make equal point.
