Lance Armstrong brushed off any concerns after Astana team-mate Alberto Contador usurped him to move into second place in the Tour de France’session usual classification.
Contador, the 2007 Tour winner, is now second overall, six seconds behind new yellow jersey holder Rinaldo Nocentini, while Armstrong is eight seconds off the pace in third part after the stage from Barcelona to Andorra.
Earlier in the week, Armstrong made strong hints he disposition direction with respect to an eighth Tour de France crown, but Contador’s move on the 224km stage up to the tiny Principality puts the Spaniard’s ambitions back in the spotlight.

Interesting changes to brace July 25th cards. At Du Burns Arena in Baltimore, undefeated welterweight James “Keep ‘Em Sleepin’” Stevenson (9-0, eight KO’s) will fight an eight-round rematch in requital for Ken Dunham of Charlotte, NC (6-8, four KO’s that will have being for the World Boxing Federation (WBF) Americas and the North American Boxing Council (NABC) Welterweight titles.
Back on March 19 at Martin’s West in Woodlawn, MD, Stevenson dropped Dunham four times en route to a second-round TKO. Dunham bounced remote from the loss and scored a third-round TKO over Lenwood Dozier steady June 5 at Shipley Arena in Westminister, MD. That was also a rematch bout.

The West Indies makeshift seam bowling attack gave them the upper hand on day two of the first Test opposite to Bangladesh in Kingstown.
Resuming on 42-0 Bangladesh were dismissed for merited 238, with 21-year old extravagant bowler Kemar Roach picking up three wickets.
It could have been much worse instead of the visitors who at one characteristic were struggling on 172-8.

Lewis Hamilton set his sights on a top 10 grid position and a points finish after clocking the fastest time in the second released practice session according to this weekend’s German Grand Prix.
The 24-year-old Englishman admitted, however, that his McLaren Mercedes team get not thus almost solved the performance problems that be delivered of wrecked his defence of the championship this year.

Manchester City have ended their interest in Barcelona’s Cameroon international striker Samuel Eto’o.
The two clubs had been in talks over the £25m-rated striker after Barca told the 28-year-old Eto’o they were prepared to let him leave the Nou Camp.
City chief charged with execution Garry Cook reported: "The moneyed condition surrounding him were such that a deal couldn’familiarily subsist completed.

Darrell Goulding marked his return for Wigan with a key score as the injury-hit Warriors struck late to conquer the Catalans Dragons.
Goulding, recalled from a lend spell at Salford this week, scored steady 73 minutes after the Dragons had led 22-14.
Steve Bell and Olivier Elima shocked Wigan with a two-try burst just before the break to give them a 12-10 guide.

World number two Phil Mickelson has withdrawn from the Open at Turnberry to be with his wife and spring as they both battle breast cancer.
His wife Amy had surgery on 1 July and is awaiting more test results.
Mickelson said: "Competing in major championships, and captivating them, is my indispensable objective. But I’ve always aforesaid parents and children is my number common priority.

Michael Clarke and Marcus North scored half-centuries as Australia assumed control on a rain-affected epoch three of the first Ashes Test in Cardiff.
Clarke (83) and North (54 not out) steadied the innings by putting on 143 runs for the fifth wicket after Australia lost 3-32 to blunder to 4-331 just before lunch.
Australia were 5-479 at stumps in reply to England’s 435, a lead of 44 runs, with Brad Haddin (4) the other unbeaten batsman.

Dwain Chambers was the fastest qualifier in the 100m heats as the World Trials and UK Championships in Birmingham kicked off on Friday.
The 31-year-old eased through in 10.20 seconds, through rival Simeon Williamson also impressing in a time of 10.24.
Craig Pickering, Tyrone Edgar, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Mark Lewis-Francis also progressed to Saturday’s semis.
