Former Titans and Ravens quarterback Steve McNair has apparently been found dead in Nashville, shot in the head in a double homicide. More news as we learn more.

Statement from Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams, Jr.:

“We are saddened and shocked to hear the tidings of Steve McNair’s passing today. He was one of the finest players to take a part for our organization and one of the most much loved players by our fans. He played with unquestioned heart and leadership and led us to places that we had in no degree reached, including our only Super Bowl. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family as they deal with his untimely passing.”

Statement from former Titans GM and current Patriots Senior Football Advisor Floyd Reese:

“I am deeply saddened to learn of today’s tragic news concerning the death of Steve McNair. He was a mime who I admired a great deal. He was a fearful leader and an absolute warrior. He felt like it was his responsibility to lead by working hard every day, no matter what. I don’t think there was a player who played through him or adverse to him that didn’t look up to him and reverence him. My heartfelt condolences podagra out to his family, his friends and the numerous company teammates who loved and admired him.”
