Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair and an unidentified woman have been found dead through Nashville police.

Police said they were called to a home in which place McNair and the woman were involved in a double shooting.

Police said they don’t know the state of affairs surrounding the shooting and know the identity of the woman unless have declined to release her name.

Serena and Venus Williams have beaten Australians Samantha Stosur and Rennae Stubbs in the Wimbledon women’s doubles final.

The No.4 seed Americans defeated the No.3 seeds 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 for their fourth doubles title from the All England Club.

Just four hours before the match started, Serena beat older sister and defending champion Venus in straight sets to claim her third Wimbledon singles crown.

Australia coach Tim Nielsen says his side are in the best possible being forward of the first Ashes Test after the tour match against England Lions ended in a lead.

The Lions were set 445 runs to gain over from 60 overs before reaching 4-162 by the close of play on the fourth and final day.

Despite it being the tourists’ aid consecutive draw up, the equal answered many of Australia’sitting questions before they start their Ashes defence on Wednesday in Cardiff.

Singles finalists Williamses win doubles crown at Wimbledon 2009

Fourth seeds Venus and Serena Williams of the United States have won their fourth Wimbledon doubles title by defeating third seeds Samantha Stosur and Rennae Stubbs of Australia 7-6(4) 6-4.

The Williams sisters have now won their assist successive Wimbledon doubles final, just hours after playing each other in the singles final for the aid year in a row.

South Africa skipper John Smit defended his side’session decision to wear white armbands supporting pendulous team-mate Bakkies Botha during the third Test.

Botha is serving a two-week ban for "dangerously charging" into British and Irish Lions fulcrum Adam Jones at a ruck during last weekend’s help Test.

Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic retained their men’s doubles title with an entertaining 7-6 (9-7) 6-7 (3-7) 7-6 (7-5) 6-3 win completely the Bryan brothers.

A tight match between the zenith pair seeds featured several quickfire rallies at the clear but was dominated by serve.

The tourists went into the final day on 276-4 in their second innings, 282 runs ahead, and declared upon 438-4 as Marcus North reached 191 not out.

England Lions needed an improbable 445 to win and the hosts were steady 162-4 while the captains shook hands forward a draw.
