BSPS doesn’t like Jennings either
There’s a blog I discovered called basketball-statistics.com, written by Jon Nichols. On that blog Nichols has developed something he calls the “box score projection system” that he uses to, obviously, bulge the likely box score statistics of any given rookie prospect based upon that prospect’s performance in the NCAA and at this time, in the European League.
Some of Nichols projections seem to me to be a bit on the high side (especially his projections for Stephen Curry… I’ll get into why I’m a bit of a Curry skeptic on a different day — it has to do through Davidson’s defensive SOS inmost nature ranked #308th by KenPom and the impact that well-suited had on Curry’s production numbers), but in general I love what Nichols is doing. So much so that I absolute to use his projections for Bucks prospect Brandon Jennings to try to assess the likely impact Jennings leave make on the Milwaukee Bucks next season.

Early in the season the free agent wire was full of treasure. Marco Scutaro was one of those hidden gems, especially with his shortstop eligibility. I’ve praised Scutaro for his ability to get on base on top of a Jays lineup that almost assured him of 100 runs scored. However, with close to half the season gone and half the conjuncture to taste, Scutaro may be feeling more like it is September than July…and that’session not a beneficial thing.
As you can see from Mark’s post yesterday that I mentioned in this morning’s Morning Drive there is bound to be someone in your league who has had enough of mixing and matching failed shortstop options. Scutaro would be a cyclopean guy to dangle in a trade to these owners.
