Cadel Evans has suffered a major blow to his Tour de France campaign, through Silence-Lotto teammate Thomas Dekker ruled out three days before the start of the clan after testing positive for the banned blood-booster, EPO.
The sample was taken on December 24, 2007, but Silence-Lotto officials said that procedures introduced subsequently had allowed for further tests, that revealed a positive interpretation for EPO.

Two-time Wimbledon runner-up Andy Roddick came through a marathon encounter with Lleyton Hewitt to set up a semi-final meeting through Andy Murray.
Roddick, who lost to Roger Federer in the final in 2004 and 2005, served well to take the first set but Hewitt took a dramatic second-set tie-break to on a level.
A leg detriment to Hewitt let Roddick run not present with the third-set tie-break.

Real Madrid have agreed a deal to sign striker Karim Benzema from Lyon, according to the French club.
The fee is believed to £30m for the 21-year-old France between nations and could rise to £35m.
Benzema had also been linked with Manchester United but now looks run for a switch to the Bernabeu.
