LAS VEGAS – The No. 9 Oklahoma softball team recorded a perfect record in the UNLV Louisville Slugger Desert Classic this weekend as the Sooners edged Cal Poly, 3-2, in the final game of the tournament on Sunday morning.
The Sooners went 5-0 over the weekend with wins over BYU, Cal State Northridge, South Carolina, Illinois and Cal Poly. Oklahoma now owns a 9-2 record on the season.

Eric Lindros
The Oshawa Generals will retire Eric Lindros’ No. 88 when the OHL club hosts the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors on March 6.
Lindros’ banner will become just the second to hang from the rafters of the General Motors Centre, joining the late Red Tilson’s No. 9.

Henin has now won 10 finals in a row
World number one Justine Henin won her second tournament of the year on Sunday, beating Karin Knapp of Italy 6-3 6-3 at the Antwerp Diamond Games.
The Belgian, who had been troubled by a knee injury at last month’s Australian Open, rarely produced her best tennis.
