Mathieu Perreault had a goal and two assists, extending his point streak to 24 games while leading the Acadie-Bathurst Titan to a wild 7-5 win over the P.E.I. Rocket on Thursday night in the QMJHL.
Perreault had a second-period assist to extend his franchise-record streak, and his 26th goal of the season 6:50 into the third gave the Titan (27-22-1-2) the lead for good. Drew Paris added the game-winner with 4:56 remaining as Acadie-Bathurst scored five times in the third period en route to its fourth straight win.
Paris finished with a goal and two assists, while Maxime Renaud, Remi Blanchard, Brad Tesink, Jonathan Laberge and Spencer Jezegou added singles for the Titan.
In Thursday’s other QMJHL game, it was: Quebec 5 Val-d’Or 3.
At Bathurst, N.S., Geoff Walker countered with a pair of goals for the Rocket (23-27-2-1), who have lost two in a row. Dylan Quaile, Chris Doyle and Nathan DesRoches also scored for P.E.I.
Nicolas Champion stopped 20 shots to earn the win for the Titan.
Rocket netminder Marc-Antoine Gelinas made 34 saves in relief.
Remparts 5 Foreurs 3
At Val-d’Or, Que., Maxime Lacroix scored twice, including the game-winner midway through the third period, as Quebec rallied to beat the Foreurs.
Felix Petit, Angelo Esposito and Sebastien Trudeau added singles for the Remparts (31-20-1-3), who scored three goals in a 4:04 span of the third period to erase a 3-1 deficit.
Jason Legault scored twice and Jonathan Hazen added a goal and an assist in defeat for Val-d’Or (24-27-2-3), losers of two straight.
