WESTS Tigers superstar Benji Marshall says the time for hiding is over as he looks to haul the NRL club back to the giddy heights of their 2005 premiership triumph.
Marshall claimed as he announced a one-year contract extension, which will take him through to the end of the 2009 season, that he was over the shoulder problems which crippled his past two NRL campaigns.
Marshall said he was ready to get back into the thick of the action, after defending on the wing last year as he nursed his way back from a third shoulder operation.

WAIKOLOA VILLAGE, Hawaii - Shooting its second consecutive under-par score in Thursday’s second round, the No. 42 OU men’s golf squad stands eighth after 36 holes of the UH-Hilo Intercollegiate at the Waikoloa Village golf course in Waikoloa Village, Hawaii.
The Sooners continued their momentum from Wednesday’s good showing, posting a 4-under-par 276 team score at the par-70, 6,738-yard course.

Mike Swift and Luca Caputi combined to score six goals as the Niagara IceDogs routed the Kingston Frontenacs 8-2 in Ontario Hockey League a tion Thursday.
Swift had three goals and two assists while Caputi had three goals and an assist for the IceDogs.
QMJHL
Mathieu Perreault had a goal and two assists, extending his point streak to 24 games while leading the Acadie-Bathurst Titan to a wild 7-5 win over the P.E.I. Rocket on Thursday night in the QMJHL.
Perreault had a second-period assist to extend his franchise-record streak, and his 26th goal of the season 6:50 into the third gave the Titan (27-22-1-2) the lead for good. Drew Paris added the game-winner with 4:56 remaining as Acadie-Bathurst scored five times in the third period en route to its fourth straight win.

The Bucknell wrestling team begins the final stretch of its dual meet schedule as the Bison (7-9-1, 2-3 EIWA) will play host to Lock Haven this Friday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. in Davis Gym. The match-up against the Bald Eagles marks the first of three straight home meets for the Orange and Blue prior to the squad’s dual meet season finale at Cornell on Feb. 23.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia football coach Bill Stewart dismissed three players charged with felony possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver.
Linebacker John Holmes, defensive lineman James Ingram and running back Ed Collington were kicked off for a violation of team rules, Stewart said in a statement Thursday. None was a starter.
“These three players are dismissed from all aspects of the Mountaineer football family,” Stewart said.
