VANCOUVER - The Canadian women’s under-20 soccer team earned a 1-1 draw with the University of British Columbia on Saturday in a tuneup for the upcoming CONCACAF championship.
Jodi-Ann Robinson of Richmond, B.C., a member of the 2007 World Cup team, scored in the 76th minute for Canada, which is seeking its fourth straight FIFA U-20 World Cup appearance. The top two teams in the CONCACAF tournament will qualify for next year’s World Cup in Chile.
Dates and location for the CONCACAF championship have yet to be announced.
Caitlyn Davie’s goal in the opening minute provided the lone offence for UBC.
