MELBOURNE, Australia — Andy Roddick started and finished with aces in a 7-5, 6-3 win over Marcos Baghdatis on Saturday to claim his third consecutive Kooyong Classic title.
Roddick beat Tommy Haas in 2006 and top-ranked Roger Federer in last year’s final of the exhibition event.

Fox Soccer Channel will air 28 USL games in 2008 starting April 25. Of these games 25 will be USL First Division (22 regular season/3 post). The three other games will be the title matches for the W-League, PDL and USL Second Division (all of which will be in August).

CALGARY – Canadian hockey veteran Danielle Goyette has one foot in coaching and the other in playing her sport.
She’s been leaning towards coaching lately.
Goyette is one of Canada’s assistant coaches at the inaugural world women’s under-18 hockey championship this week and she is also head coach of the University of Calgary women’s team.

Chelsea hope Anelka will soften the blow of Drogba’s absence
Chelsea have completed a 15m deal to sign Nicolas Anelka from Bolton.
The French striker, 28, has signed a three-and-a-half year deal and could figure in Saturday’s game with Spurs.
Bolton had rejected a 12m bid from the Stamford Bridge outfit, who are short of forwards because of injuries and Africa Cup of Nations call-ups.

The Milwaukee Brewers have reached an agreement with center fielder Mike Cameron on a one-year contract, according to major league sources.
Cameron, 34, hit 21 homers and drove in 78 runs for the Padres last year. He will miss the first 25 games of the 2008 season, as he serves a suspension under the terms of baseball’s drug-testing program.
