Not Liverpool, not Chelsea, not England. Instead Jürgen Klinsmann has returned to work, and to Europe, for somewhere much closer to home. From July he will take over at Bayern Munich on a two-year contract. Klinsmann, whose only other job was national coach of Germany, replaces Ottmar Hitzfeld who had already planned to step down.

The Tallahassee Democrat notes that former Mr. Florida Football Xavier Lee has not enrolled in classes for the spring semester at Florida State. Friday was the last day for students to register and maintain their eligibility.
Lee, who has at times been perceived as both a saviour and outcast at FSU, has been working out with teammates, but has been clouded in much speculation following his multiple suspensions from the team last year. The Democrat reports that Lee met with FSU OC/FHC Jimbo Fisher about his future this week, but no announcement has been made by either Lee or the university. Rumor has is that Fisher told Lee that he was persona non grata at QB.

Baltimore, MD heavyweight Bernard “Bad Ass” Brown will try to bounce back from last month’s loss to Dana Dunston tonight in Carneys Point, NJ when he faces off against Mark “Oak Tree” Brown of Salem, NJ in a scheduled eight-round contest.
Brown (5-2-2, three KO’s) lost a four-round split decision to Dunston on December 15 in Dulles, VA. Mark Brown (10-1, four KO’s) will come into the bout riding a three-bout winning streak. Neither boxer has gone the eight-round distance.

ATLANTA — For the first time since 1982, the NBA is sending two teams back to the court for a do-over.
The Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat must replay the final 51.9 seconds of their game last month because the official scorer ruled incorrectly that Shaquille O’Neal fouled out, the league said Friday.
The Hawks won 117-111 at home in overtime Dec. 19, but strike that one from the books. For now, playoff-contending Atlanta has one less win, while the Heat have one less loss on their miserable record.

ST. LOUIS - Canadian soccer player O’Brian White has won the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy, the highest individual honour in NCAA soccer.
The 21-year-old Toronto native, who is a junior forward at the University of Connecticut, took the Missouri Athletic Club trophy on Friday, alongside fellow junior forward Mami Yamaguchi of Florida State University.
White led the NCAA Division I in scoring with 23 goals and 53 points. He was also named the Big East Conference offensive player of the year, earned first-team all-conference honours and led the Huskies to the NCAA quarter-finals, where they lost to Virginia Tech.

Hayden has made 29 Test centuries in his 14-year career
Australia coach Tim Nielsen is hopeful that veteran opener Matthew Hayden will be fit for the third Test against India beginning in Perth on Wednesday.
Hayden injured his hamstring in the second Test at Sydney and was expected to miss out on his 94th Test cap, but will have a fitness test on Sunday.
