Oldham, Coventry among FA Cup upsets

LONDON – Cristiano Ronaldo and substitute Wayne Rooney scored in the last nine minutes and Manchester United ousted Aston Villa from the FA Cup 2-0 on Saturday.

Entering 11 minutes from the end, in a game watched by England’s new coach Fabio Capello, Rooney inspired United’s fourth successive FA Cup triumph over Villa in seven years.

HIGH-flying Everton were knocked out of the FA Cup 1-0 by third division Oldham Athletic in the third round, becoming one of four Premier League sides to go out to lower league opposition.

The Ottawa 67′s lost not only Friday night’s game against the Brampton Battalion 5-2, but also the services of their leading scorer Logan Couture for at least the weekend.

Couture hit his head on the edge of the glass at the end of the 67′s bench late in the game. He won’t accompany the 67′s when they play in Barrie on Saturday and Owen Sound on Sunday.

Listening to music while working out is not a new concept. For many, music provides a diversion to help see them through the monotony of a workout and in some cases can provide the motivation to go the full distance. Several months ago however, the iPod Sport Kit was introduced as the result of a collaborative effort by Apple and Nike, and the pairing of music with a workout has now reached a higher level.

The iPod Sport Kit acts as part coach and part cheerleader allowing runners, or walkers, to select the music that will motivate them throughout their workout as well as providing ongoing voice and graphic feedback regarding the distance already covered, the runner’s pace, and how long they’ve been running. When finished with the workout, a summary of the total distance covered, the number of calories burned, and the runner’s average speed is reported. The feedback provides a powerful tool for setting and achieving fitness goals whether the user is trying to lose a few pounds or prepare for a marathon.

Swimming pool basketball is a fun game that many like to play in the pool. Kids and adults alike will all want to play this in the pool, and there are so many different versions of the game that you can buy. These games are available anywhere that swimming pool products and toys are sold, from your local retail store to your favorite pool shop, and even online. You will find that this game is a great investment, and will be glad that you bought one once you see how much fun everyone will have with it.

You will find that there is a version of swimming pool basketball that floats in the pool. This version of the game has a basketball goal that will float in the water as everyone tries to make the ball into the goal. Of course the ball is not a real basketball, but one that will fit through the hoop, and that can get wet and will not hold water. The hoop that is floating around the pool makes it even harder to make the goal when you are playing this game, and everyone that plays will love the challenge.
