North Carolina head coach Butch Davis left no doubt when asked about the opening at Arkansas today.
“There is no interest in the University [of] Arkansas coaching job.”
Asked if he could say definitely that he would not talk to any other school or listen to any other offers, Davis said: “Absolutely. You got it. Exactly what you said. Exactly.”
If it were Les Miles on the other end of the microphone, I wouldn’t be inclined to believe him. But — from Butch Davis — bank it.
