TORONTO – Raptors forwards Chris Bosh and Andrea Bargnani were sidelined with injuries for Toronto’s game against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.
Bosh, the team’s leading scorer and rebounder, missed his fourth straight game with a strained right groin, while Bargnani sat out his second with a hyperextended left knee.
The undermanned Raptors got some relief in the form of a healthy T.J. Ford. The 24-year-old point guard returned after missing five games with a stinger in his arm, a nerve irritation that radiates down the arms.
Bosh, averaging 18.8 points and 7.8 rebounds, missed most of the pre-season with a knee injury. He started the season slow, but was finally rounding into form before his latest setback.
Bargnani is averaging 11.9 points and 4.5 rebounds.
