Men’s hoops hosts a pair of games at the Lloyd Noble Center this week.

NORMAN, Okla. – Sooner Sports Notes provide fans with a quick overview of all teams in action for Oklahoma. View a recap of last week, notes and a look ahead for the Crimson and Cream in this weekly feature.
 
  Men’s Basketball
• Last Week: The Sooners played their first two true road games of the year, losing 66-55 at No. 22 USC on Thursday before rebounding for a 90-66 win at TCU on Sunday. OU’s 90 points at TCU were its most in a non-overtime true road game since 1996.

• This Week: Jeff Capel’s team plays home games against Tulsa on Wednesday at 7 p.m. CST and Stephen F. Austin on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

• Notes: Playing with strep throat, Austin Johnson came off the bench against USC to score a season-high 13 points with the help of 3-for-4 3-point shooting … Keith Clark’s 13 points in the contest were a career high (previous high was eight) … Against TCU, Tony Crocker surpassed his previous career high of 19 points with a 24-point effort while tying a career high with nine rebounds … Crocker was 6-for-7 from 3-point range and had 20 points in the first half (he is now shooting .548 from behind the arc on the year) … Johnson netted 13 more points against TCU and pulled down a career-high eight boards … Omar Leary entered the TCU game with 10 assists on the year but registered eight handouts against the Horned Frogs.

• Promotions: Family Pack tickets will be available for the Tulsa and Stephen F. Austin games this week. For $10, fans get a game ticket, a hot dog, a soda and a coupon for a free OU T-shirt (minimum purchase of four tickets required).
 
  Women’s Basketball
• Last Week: After playing its first four games on the road, No. 9 Oklahoma took two wins at home last week, defeating North Texas (Nov. 27), 79-42, and Arkansas State (Dec. 2), 93-36. Courtney Paris, whose famous streak was briefly interrupted until an official review of the game tape restored it, collected her 66th and 67th consecutive double-doubles.

• This Week: OU begins a three-game road stint with a trip to Illinois, Tuesday, Dec. 5, 8 p.m., before taking the bus up the turnpike to Tulsa, Saturday, Dec. 8.,at 3 p.m.

• Notes: Last Monday, Danielle Robinson was named Big 12 Rookie of the Week for the second straight seven-day period … An official review of the Oklahoma-Mississippi State game by officials from both institutions revealed 36 scoring errors in the original play-by-play, two of which were miscredited rebounds that restore Courtney Paris’ double-double streak.
    Volleyball
• Last Week: The Oklahoma volleyball team ended its season last week in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. The Sooners began First Round action last Thursday against Florida A&M in Gainesville, Fla. The Sooners advanced to the second round after knocking off the Rattlers, 3-1 (30-25, 32-30, 29-31, 30-14). Next, Oklahoma faced national No. 13 seed and host Florida on Friday. The Gators were too much for the Sooners as Oklahoma ended its season with a 3-0 loss (30-24, 30-24, 36-34).

• Notes: Oklahoma made back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament for only the second time in school history after advancing to the Sweet 16 in 2006 … The last time the Sooners did that was the 1987 and 1988 seasons … Head coach Santiago Restrepo is a perfect 2-0 in his career in First Round action of the NCAA Tournament … Oklahoma was picked to finish ninth in the Big 12 preseason poll, but was once again the surprise of the Big 12 after finishing fourth in the league … The Sooners tallied their 13th 20-win season this year … Senior Sarah Weiland was named to the All-Big 12 Honorable Mention squad and redshirt freshman Francie Ekwerekwu was selected to the All-Freshman team. 

  Wrestling
• Last Week: The Sooners dropped the first of two matches this season versus in-state rival Oklahoma State by a score of 21-9 in Stillwater on Sunday. Oklahoma State is scheduled to make the trip to Norman for the second dual versus the Sooners on Feb. 21.

• This Week: OU (4-1) looks to bounce back after the Bedlam loss, traveling to Edmond for a dual against The University of Central Oklahoma on Friday, Dec. 7. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

• Notes: Three Sooners recorded wins versus OSU last weekend. Junior Will Rowe (No. 9) and seniors Joshua Weitzel (No. 11) and Joel Flaggert (No. 9) all put points on the board for Oklahoma, and all three continue to climb in the national individual rankings … After Friday’s match with UCO, the Sooners will break before resuming competition after the New Year.
