The Bucknell swimming and diving teams closed out the weekend at Princeton’s Big Al Open by setting four program top-10 marks on Sunday. On the men’s side the Bison finished the three-day meet with 86 points to place seventh out of eight teams, while the women totaled 55 and placed 11th out of 11 schools. Penn State paced the field for both the men and the women with point totals of 1,065 and 1,057, respectively.
For Bucknell’s men, sophomore Luke Trafton (Bath, Maine/Morse) captured 12th in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 16 minutes, 0.06 seconds, while classmate Ben Leboza (Green Oaks, Ill./Libertyville) took 17th in 16:32.15.

Franck Ribery
BERLIN – A goal by Franck Ribery helped lift Bayern Munich back into first place in the Bundesliga with a 1-0 win Sunday against Arminia Bielefeld.
In a match played in heavy rain, Ribery scored in the 22nd minute to give Bayern a one-point lead over Werder Bremen, which beat rival Hamburger SV 2-1 on Saturday.

Toronto Marlies
TORONTO – Ben Ondrus’s hard work paid off Sunday.
Ondrus scored two goals to lead the Toronto Marlies over the Philadelphia Phantoms in American Hockey League action on Sunday night.
"It just goes to prove the guys who work their backsides off without the puck are paid off … it’s almost like the hockey gods are smiling on them for working so hard," Marlies coach Greg Gilbert said of Ondrus, the team captain. "I’m happy for Benny, he’s been outstanding for us all year."

The Val-d’Or Foreurs celebrated the retirement of J.P. Dumont’s jersey number with a game that would have made the skilled forward proud.
Brad Marchand had three goals and three assists and Jonathan Hazen also recorded a hat trick as the Foreurs outgunned the Rimouski Oceanic 8-6 Sunday in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Jerryd Bayless scored a season-high 26 points, and Arizona rallied from a 20-point first-half deficit to defeat No. 9 Texas A&M 78-67 on Sunday, handing the Aggies their first loss.
Bayless, a freshman from Phoenix, has led Arizona in scoring in four of his first seven college games. He also had six assists and one turnover in 37 minutes.

Anthony Goods and Lawrence Hill each scored 15 points to lift the Stanford Cardinal to a 67-43 win over Colorado on Sunday as part of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series.
The Cardinal (8-1) have now won four straight since a 12-point loss at Siena on Nov. 17.
Colorado (5-3) had its three-game winning streak snapped. The team was led in scoring by Marcus Hall with 16. He also had four assists as he logged 40 minutes for the second straight game.

In 1963, Bob Charles, an earlier “Lefty,” won the British Open.
On Friday, at age 71, Charles fired a second-round 68 to make the cut in the New Zealand Open.
How’s that for longevity?
“Although officials could not confirm it yesterday, it’s thought Sir Bob’s effort to make the cut at 71 years of age is either a European Tour or even world record,” the New Zealand Herald reported.
