Clint Mathis back to LA
The traveling madman that is Clint Mathis has again hit the road, this time landing back in LA with the Galaxy. After a decent season in New York, Mathis will now head to the home of Beckham and Donovan to see if he can make anything happen on the West coast.

Justine Henin’s main goal to win Wimbledon, her coach worked out tactics
World number one Justine Henin has always claimed that she would prefer another Roland Garros title over winning Wimbledon. However, her opinion has changed, and when asked "A fifth Roland Garros or a first Wimbledon?" she replied "Wimbledon!" without hesitation.

Henin’s coach, Carlos Rodriguez, has prepared a plan, some tactical and psychological changes, which will enable the Belgian to win the only Grand Slam title she misses.

Stuart Pearce says that captain Steven Taylor and Gabriel Agbonlahor are both concerns ahead of England Under-21s’ Euro 2009 qualifier in Portugal on Tuesday.

Agbonlahor opened the scoring for England in their 2-0 win over Bulgaria on Friday, but was taken off with a knee injury after an awkward fall midway through the second-half, while Taylor has a problem with his back.

When taking into account the legacy of Lloyd Carr, it’ll be important to take a step back from the recent issues with Ohio State and bowl games to look at the entire résumé, and then history might be far kinder than a segment of the fan base was over the last few years.

Oregon senior quarterback Dennis Dixon, Arkansas junior running back Darren McFadden and Florida sophomore quarterback Tim Tebow are finalists for the Maxwell Award for the nation’s best all-around player.

The Maxwell and eight other honors will be presented Dec. 6 at an awards ceremony televised by ESPN. Finalists were announced Monday.
