Maybe all Adam Zemec needed was a change of scenery.
Zemec scored four goals and added an a assist to lead the Ottawa 67′s past the Guelph Storm 10-3 Friday in the OHL. Since joining the 67s after a trade with the Kitchener Rangers he has scored six goals and seven points in four games.
Zemec scored twice at even strength and added power-play and short-handed markers.
”I’ve had some problems scoring before but tonight was the big breakout,” Zemec said.
”I can’t take all the credit, the guys in the room gave a full 60 minutes and that’s all that matters.”

At Ottawa, Jamie McGinn and Matt Lahey scored twice and Logan Couture had three assists for the 67′s. Tye McGinn (Jamie’s younger brother) and Cody Lindsay and also scored for the 67′s (9-10-2) while Chris Perugini made 29 saves in just his sixth start of the season.
Denis Hollenstein and Peter Holland were the only Storm players to beat Perugini. Thomas McCollum stared in goal for the Storm (8-10-3) but left midway through the first period after allowing two goals on just five shots. Cody St. Jacques took over from McCollum and made 17 saves.

At Plymouth, Mich., Mickey Renaud scored twice, including the eventual game-winner late in the second period, as the Spitfires (15-5-1-3)downed the Whalers (12-7-1-0).
Belleville 6 Oshawa 3
At Oshawa, Ont., Eric Tangradi’s hat trick led the Bulls (13-5-1-1) to the victory over the Generals (13-6-0-2) and a share of first place in the East Division.
Mississauga 4 Saginaw 3
At Mississauga, Ont., Kaspars Daugavins scored three times and added an assist to give the Majors (8-11-1-0) a come-from-behind victory over the Spirit (7-9-2-1).
Sarnia 6 Kingston 0
At Kingston, Ont., Tomi Karhunen turned away 35 shots for the shutout as the Sting (14-9-0-0) defeated the Frontenacs (6-14-0-1).
Kitchener 7 Erie 3
At Kitchener, Ont., Matt Halischuk scored two goals and got a pair of assists to lead the Rangers (19-3-0-0) over the Otters (3-17-1-1).
London 6 Owen Sound 3
At London, Ont., Adam Perry scored a hat trick as the Knights (14-8-0-0) doubled up the Attack (7-15-1-0).
Sudbury 4 Peterborough 2
At Sudbury, Ont., Marcus Foligno scored the eventual game-winner as the Wolves (8-15-0-0) beat the Petes (9-12-0-1).
Brampton 3 Sault Ste. Marie (SO)
At Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Matt Duchene scored the shootout winner as the Battalion (13-7-1-2) edged the Greyhounds (15-5-1-2).
