Toronto Marlies
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – David Ling scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Toronto Marlies over the Syracuse Crunch 5-4 in AHL action Friday night.
Andrew Murray scored twice to put the Crunch on the board with a 2-0 lead in the first period, but Ling replied with three minutes left in the frame to ignite the Marlies offence, as Toronto scored four unanswered goals to go up 5-2 midway through the third.
Jay Harrison, Darryl Boyce and John Mitchell each scored for Toronto, who improved to 11-0-0-2 with the win.
Adam Pineault and Philippe Dupuis also tallied for Syracuse (6-11-0-0).
Scott Clemmensen made 35 saves from 39 shots for Toronto, while Tomas Popperle stopped 31 of 36 shots for the Crunch.
Syracuse went 3-for-3 with extra attacker, while the Marlies were 1-for-6.
