The October 6 benefit card at the Hilton McLean Tyson’s Corner in McLean, VA that was co-promoted by Jimmy Lange Enterprises and Jackie Kallen’s Ice Promotions raised $5,170 for the family of the late world champion Diego “Chico” Corrales.
I’m truly proud that we raised more than $5,000 to help Diego Corrales’ family,†said Lange of the program that combined entertainment and philanthropy with a live boxing card. “My fans have been extremely loyal and generous in support of everything I do. I’m extremely grateful for everyone that helped organize and participate in the event. I want to personally thank Gary Shaw, Chico’s promoter, who was instrumental in putting us in touch with Michelle (Diego’s wife) and her children. We hope our small token of appreciation helps the family during the holiday season.â€
Lange is slated to defend his WBC Continental Americas Junior Middleweight title on Saturday, March 29 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA against an opponent to be determined.
