California point guard Jerome Randle underwent a biopsy on his kidney Monday and will likely miss at least a month.
The school said a routine blood test found minor abnormalities, leading doctors to conduct more tests on the sophomore. Results of the biopsy weren’t expected for several days.
“We’re hopeful that the results of the procedure will help provide Jerome with a long-term solution and that he will be able to return following his recovering period,” coach Ben Braun said.
