Rogge warns Europe not to break from WADA

BRUSSELS, Belgium – IOC president Jacques Rogge is warning Europe not to break away from the World Anti-Doping Agency following the withdrawal of former French sports minister Jean-Francois Lamour as a candidate for president of the body.

Rogge rejected Lamour’s call for creation of a European anti-doping agency.

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – Left winger Brett MacLean scored twice and added two assists and linemate John Tavares increased his lead in the individual scoring race with a three-point night as the Oshawa Generals beat the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors 6-3 in Ontario Hockey League action Wednesday night.

MacLean, a draft pick of the Phoenix Coyotes, scored his third and fourth goals of the season and his four-point night boosted his total to 14 points in just five games this season.

It might be just a dream, but former USC tailback Michael Coleman wants to return to the Trojans next season.

Coleman, who transferred last May, is enrolled at Riverside Community College. He left USC with some academic issues and would need to improve his grades to even be considered for re-admission.

“He wants to come back to USC and play,” said former USC wide receiver R. Jay Soward, who coaches at Coleman’s alma mater, Arroyo Valley High of San Bernardino.

Thanks to this tip from a poster. Believe it or not, heavyweight Corey “T-Rex” Sanders is slated to be involved in a sanctioned bout on Friday, October 19 in Berlin, Germany!

Sanders (23-11, 15 KO’s) is scheduled to fight undefeated German prospect Steffen Kretschmann (9-0, nine KO’s) on the undercard of the rematch between Oliver McCall and Juan Carlos Gomez. You’ll remember that Sanders fought in Trinidad one year ago against Kerston Manswell. This was the week before his exhibition bout against Mike Tyson and the fight took place despite Sanders looking like this:
