Ballack: Chelsea pledge
Michael Ballack has confirmed his intention to see out the remainder of his career with Chelsea.
Although the Germany international has struggled to make an impact in the Premier League, he has no plans to leave The Blues.
Ballack, who was linked with a summer move to Real Madrid, has two years left to run on his lucrative deal and would like to end his career in England.
“I feel very happy here and would like to end my career here,” the 31-year-old told German television station ARD.
Ballack is currently unavailable with the ankle injury that has sidelined him since April, but would be interested in penning an extension once he is fit and healthy.
“Although I want to end my career at Chelsea, if I am still fit when my contract runs out, why should I not play on for another two years?” he added in Bild.
