Nigel Davies has been confirmed as Wales’ caretaker head coach for the one-off international against South Africa on 24 November. Davies takes over on a temporary basis from Gareth Jenkins, who was sacked on Sunday morning after Wales crashed out of the World Cup. The former Wales centre will head a four-man coaching team which includes defence specialist Rowland Phillips, set-piece coach Robin McBryde and kicking expert Neil Jenkins, all of whom served under Jenkins.

ADELAIDE celebrated Brett Maher’s record-breaking 482nd National Basketball League appearance for the club with a dramatic 115-108 win over South Dragons at the Distinctive Homes Dome in Adelaide.
The 36ers overcame a 14-point half-time deficit to secure the win, with Maher netting 19 points in a superb all-court performance on a special night for him and his club.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Chuck Amato was more than just a bit happy to come back to Florida State and work for his old boss after North Carolina State fired him last year.
And Bobby Bowden is just as pleased he won’t have to play his longtime assistant anymore. Amato’s North Carolina State teams took four of the past six meetings.
“He did a marvelous job against us,” Bowden said. “At least he’s back in familiar surroundings and if we could just win, I think he’d be happy.”

Golden State Warriors guard Monta Ellis was immobilized and carted off the court after he was injured in a collision during training-camp practice Friday night.
According to ESPN The Magazine’s Ric Bucher, the 21-year-old Ellis was trying to split a double team on a pick-and-roll when he went down. Ellis lay face down, prone for more than 25 minutes.
He has been taken to Castle Medical Center in Kailua, which is about 40 minutes from the BYU-Hawaii campus where the Warriors are holding camp.

It is a very useful technique, helping students become better with their techniques and what they have learned. By practicing with other people, students learn their arts better and become more apt at performing the techniques quickly and efficiently.
If you are studying martial arts in a dojo, youll find sparring to be very exciting as well as beneficial to your training. The instructors and teachers will be right there watching and guiding students, making sure that no one gets hurt. Students use full body gear, including headgear, to ensure safety during practice.
