AUSTRALIA is preparing for a foul-play ambush from England when the two sides collide in a World Cup quarter-final tonight.

While the defending champion has flagged its intent to muscle the Australians out of the tournament, the Wallabies believe the intimidation could extend to cheap shots in a desperate bid to unsettle the favourites.

John Connolly has already claimed that the selection of fiery hooker Mark Regan signals "an intent" from England.

After three disappointing seasons, Gallery seemed destined to join those who never came close to fulfilling the expectations associated with being the draft’s No. 2 overall selection. But thanks to a change of position and coaches, Gallery should never be mentioned again in the same breath as busts like Ryan Leaf, Charles Rogers and Tony Mandarich.

Now entrenched as Oakland’s starting left guard, Gallery is a major reason the Raiders (2-2) lead the league in rushing. Oakland enters its bye week averaging 194.2 yards a game following last Sunday’s 299-yard effort against Miami.

The video footage shows Dida going down in a heap after what looks like minimum contact with a Celtic fan .He had to be carried off on a stretcher.History repeats itself for Celtic.22 years ago in another famous AC Milan vs Celtic clash the player that went down was one Rudolf Weinhofer. He collapsed after a beer bottle was thrown at him.The bottle landed several feet from him – but he collapsed nonetheless..! The matter went to the UEFA and a rematch was played which Celtic lost.More on that entertaining historical episode here..

Hi everyone.

We were disappointed to draw with QPR two weeks ago. We knew what was going on there with the takeover and when we went one-up, we thought we were going to kick on. But they got a goal back – that was a real kick in the teeth.

FORWARD giant Petero Civoniceva scooped Brisbane Broncos’ major awards on a highly emotional night before leaving the NRL club to join Penrith next season.

Civoniceva walked away with four awards – including the highly sort after double of Players’ Player and Paul Morgan Player of the year.

He shared clubman of the year with his best mate Brad Thorn, who is also leaving the club, while he was also named the Broncos best forward for the third time in the past four years.
