Ten Cate: Chelsea rumour
Ajax coach Henk ten Cate insists he does not want to talk about the speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea.
Ten Cate has been rumoured to be a target of the Blues as they look to bolster manager Avram Grant’s coaching staff in the wake of the departure of former boss Jose Mourinho.
Dutch football magazine Voetbal International claims Chelsea’s technical director Frank Arnesen has held talks with ten Cate about a possible move to the West London club.
However, ten Cate is adamant he wants to remain fully focused on Ajax’s Uefa Cup match with Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday.
“I only want to answer questions about the game of Ajax against Dinamo Zagreb,” ten Cate told Dutch media.
“I can’t say if the interest of Chelsea is right or not. I thought I was clear.
“But I want to say it again. I only answer questions about the Ajax versus Dinamo Zagreb game.”
